Our schistose quartz phyllite with a fissure-like surface adds a striking design element. It allows for the authentic representation and design of austere architecture, romantic gardens, or Asian culture. Its color range extends from black to rust-brown.
Material information
Non-slip
Surfaces marked with this symbol have a particularly slip-resistant surface.
Frost-resistant
When installed properly, this stone is suitable for outdoor use. Please note which installation methods are appropriate for the specific stone. You can find this information on the respective product page by referring to the corresponding symbols.
Good for shaded areas
All exterior materials must have a certain degree of roughness to provide slip resistance. This characteristic inevitably makes them more prone to dirt accumulation. Stones with higher water absorption also provide a good breeding ground for algae growth.
Stones marked with this symbol are extremely hard and dense, making them particularly suitable for shaded areas and north-facing sides.
Gravel Installation
Here, you have the option of installing the tiles on a gravel base. Your installation company will installation company advise you on the required tile thickness and size.
Drainage Installation
When installed on drainage mortar (single-grain mortar), a solid subbase is created that remains largely permeable to water. For more information, please contact your installation company.
